| Swedish Massage: A gentle, soothing massage to relax the muscles and mind.
Cranial – Sacral Therapy (CST): A quiet technique. Work involves the meninges, the membrane that covers the brain and spinal cord. This massage enhances the mobility of the cerebral spinal fluid in the brain, increasing the overall health of this important organ. CST has been successfully used with headaches, dizziness, ringing of ears, and autistic children. Deep Tissue Massage: This technique is used for tight, knotted muscles. Deep Tissue Massage is very good for athletes or for those whose work or leisure activities are physically demanding (weight lifting, gardening, running, working out in the gym, martial arts, etc.). Hawaii Temple Lomilomi: A massage that has been passed down through the generations. As in most things Hawaiian, there is a spirituality that permeates the massage. The massage has a duality of soft and deep, an ebb and flow of movement and energy. Lymphatic Drainage: This technique is ideal for people that have sinus or other bronchial problems. It has been successfully used with chemotherapy patients to help with the elimination of medication from their systems. Myofascial Release: Fascia is a connective tissue that covers and permeates the muscles. Through work, injury, and repetitive use, fascia becomes tighter and tighter. Myofascial release helps to correct the fascia and restore the muscle to a relaxed state. Pregnancy Massage: A gentle, nurturing massage to help with the tension and aches that occur during pregnancy. Sports Massage: This technique works with the athlete pre- or post- event. This massage is catered to the individual—from stretches, cross-grain and deep tissue work to gentle work for the injured muscles. Trigger Point Therapy: Usually used when there is an area or “point” which is very resistant to other techniques and knots up. Holding the trigger point overloads the muscle and releases it. Zen Body Therapy: A series of massage treatments created by Dub Leigh. It uses deep work to change the alignment of the body (no chiropractic manipulation). Better alignment allows your body to function efficiently. Body Treatments: Various body treatments are also available, including: Herbal Body Wrap, Body Scrub, and Body Masque. |
